Death Of A Runaway (1991, Channel Four). A documentary for the True Stories slot, about the last 18 months in the life of a teenage runaway, who was murdered in May 1990. Nominated for the best single documentary of 1991 for the Royal Television Society Awards.

No Home For Barry (1990, Channel Four). A documentary for the Cutting Edge slot, which followed a troubled young man who arrived in London without money, a job, or a place to live.

Dilly Down Town (1992, Carlton/ITV). This ‘infotainment’ series featured presenter Dilly Braimoh meeting oddball characters in London. It ran for three series.

True or False (1990, Channel Four). Host Steven Berkoff welcomes a panel of celebrities to view two films and guess whether each is true or false. 

 

'One of a new wave of post-modern, post-naff games shows. All done in high Gothic style by way of homage to such vintage American shows as The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits'. Evening Standard.

A number of programmes produced by Ian McAuley have been selected for preservation in the British Film Institute's National Film Archive.
